As the community is growing in Joliet and all of Will County, we need more support for women who are victims/survivors of domestic violence.
One in four women are affected by domestic violence.
Our system does not support women enough, and there needs to be a facility to do this.
This program could be a part of Groundwork, expanding all that it currently does. They don't currently have the funding for this, but with this donation from mygofer, they would be able to provide this support group and educate the community more about domestic violence.
