Life, Legacies, and Landmarks, a non-profit organization of the Jacob Henry Mansion Estate, is dedicated to the education of youth and young adults. Our mission is to provide education to all children. There are two parts included in this program - Back to Basics, and FAME.

Back to Basics prepares junior high students for the transition into high school and focuses on conversation protocol, introductions, first impressions, and social graces for everyday use.

FAME, Future Adult with Manners & Etiquette, provides young adults entering the work force with basic business practice for social and professional situations. The program lessons are reinforced by community leaders acting as moderators and providing guidance by example.

We will partner with local organizations such as Joliet Public Grade School District 86 and Joliet Township High School District 204, Joliet Housing Authority, Boys & Girls Club, etc.

Many school districts are cutting back field trips due to lack of resources. This program will entitle and encourage our young adults to become the next generation of role models. As stated by Diogenes, "The foundation of every state is the education of its youth." The goal of every city is to provide educational opportunities for all students. Life, Legacies, and Landmarks will provide the manners of the past to be taught in the present for the benefit of Joliet's future.

Thank you for your consideration, as we, the community, are all working very hard in these economic times to provide the best opportunities for Joliet's future.
